BlueWater Outriggers Fishing Report 1-8-2025

Offshore: We have had just a few reports for offshore fishing this week. The Red Grouper are smashing Pin Fish in 40 to 70 feet of water.

Inshore: Sheephead are pretty plentiful around the bridges, piers and jetties. You will want to use fiddler crabs or shrimp. If you're fishing for Flounder, just switch your bait to bull minnows or Berkley Gulp on a jig head. Don't be surprised if you hook into a Red Drum or Speckled Trout. This week's photo comes from Capt. Chris Lantz of Gettin Reel Sportfishing

Freshwater: Catfish are still biting in the rivers using cut bait or stink bait on the outside bends in the deeper hole. We're gonna try and make a trip to Bloxham and catfish below the dam next week. If you Bass fish, remember to go slow, finesse goes a long way.

Closing: If you are doing any boat repair this winter, BlueWater Outriggers has all you need from electrical to fiberglass and all kinds of filters as well. If we don't have it, we can order it. So until next week, don't forget those life jackets and lanyards.
