St. Joe Bay Fishing Report 5-28-24
Offshore: The dolphin, a.k.a. mahi are starting to show up on the weed lines in deeper water also keep an eye out for triple tail when you're on the weeds. Bee Liners are plentiful over wrecks and reefs as well. Don't forget AJ season closes June 1 and Red Snapper season opens the same day.
Inshore: Trout and Reds are still biting good in the bay. Capt Chris Lantz had a productive day with both species being landed. Jack Cravelle and Pare still cruising the beaches. If you're fishing on the Cape, please give our Tarpon guides some space. This is how they make their living. Tarpon are a blast catch. Mullet are the bait to start with as well as small male blue crabs
Freshwater: The rivers are starting to fall, so the Shellcracker bite is improving on worms and crickets. Catfish is on the rise cut bait and stink bait as well as live bluegill are the ticket. Until next week. Good luck and tight lines. Don't forget to wear those life jackets and lanyards.
